Having a vitamin deficiency could cause health problems. Your body needs different amounts of vitamins and minerals to survive. If your body is devoid of almost any type of vitamin it can create problems.
Sadly, because of the convention diet in most areas, most people do have some level of vitamin deficiency. Of course, this doesn’t lead to the level of malnutrition that you see on charitable commercials, but it does cause your body to become weak. Over time, vitamin deficiencies can actually cause some very bad complications and can even lead to death.
Is there a way to tell if you are getting enough vitamins daily? Most of us think that taking a daily vitamin will be good enough. However, we all need different levels of daily vitamins. They absolutely must be tailored to your personal needs. A vitamin deficiency can still happen regardless of whether or not you are taking a daily vitamin.

1. You have dry skin
If you have dandruff or cracked skin, this can be an array of deficiencies. You most likely have a vitamin deficiency of some sort if it occurs after your mid-twentie.
2. Every winter you get sick
Many people catch a winter cold at least once a year. It really shouldn’t be. Your immune system may be low if you catch a cold every time it gets cold outside. Normally, your body would be able to fight off colds.
3. Your fingernails are extremely brittle
Breakage in nails and hair can be caused by so many deficiencies. Split ends and hang nails can be a result of a vitamin deficiency.
4. Hair loss
Most of the time hair loss is caused by nutrition or genetics. Before going to the emergency room, invest in a a daily vitamin supplement. Most likely, the odds will be pretty good.
You must add vitamin supplements to your daily diet as you age so that you can meet your daily nutritional needs. All you need to do is give your body the “ready-made” fuel it needs. Once you figure out you have a vitamin deficiency, this is the best way to deal with it.
